EDLD 5315
The action research outline established the structural framework for this study by clarifying the research focus, defining measurable variables, and aligning the innovation plan with a research-based evaluation strategy. This foundational step ensured that the study moved beyond a general idea and toward a clearly articulated and measurable inquiry process.
The literature review synthesizes research on formative assessment, technology-supported feedback, and instructional sustainability within music education contexts. It identifies a gap in structured digital tuner implementation in middle school band settings and provides the theoretical foundation supporting this action research study.
The full action research plan operationalizes the innovation through a mixed-methods design, clearly defined measurement instruments, a structured timeline, and a plan for data analysis and dissemination. This document demonstrates how instructional decisions will be guided by systematic evidence rather than assumption, ensuring alignment between innovation and measurable outcomes.
This reflection evaluates my growth as a self-directed learner and my contributions to the learning community throughout EDLD 5315. It includes a self-assessment score supported by specific examples of collaboration, discussion engagement, revision practices, and leadership within my base group. This reflection demonstrates how I applied the action research cycle not only to my project but also to my own learning process.
